If it's a Palomino forget it.

here's what you do: you take 5 pins off (break em off) the CPU and then you insert it back in, for each pin you take off, the frequency goes up 20 mhz. so that's an OC of 100 mhz. take off 20 pins, you get 400+ mhz.

The easiest way to OC is to use MSI CoreCenter. Dosen't get any easier.

You can OC it.

If it's a tbred (0.13 micron), it should be relatively easy, and you can expect close to 2ghz with a decent heatsink and fan. You can either raise the fsb or change the multiplier, or both.

If it's a palomino (0.18 micron), you won't get more than 1.7 or so ghz out of it, and you pretty much have to do it by raising the fsb to some inconvenient number. So basically if it's a palomino, forget about it, because it sin't worth it.

CPU-z can tell you what processor you aactually have.
