Can I OC my T2050 @ 1.6GHz?

I picked up a Toshiba M115 Laptop with a T2050 Core Duo Yonah processor.

I assume the processor itself can probably overclock well, no? Assuming it was on a setup easy to overclock, what could it do?

And my laptop doesn't have any options in the BIOS that would allow me to OC. Is there a piece of software that I can use to overclock it?

BTW, as you can see, I am a n00b to OCing these chips, but I know my fair share about OCing s754/939/etc.

why would you oc a laptop? It will Run hotter and eat more power thus killing battery time.

Just let it go.

why? becuase it will probably be cable of 1.8-2.0 ghz without a voltage increase. and most people are on low CPU speed when on batt power, so its moot.

As for OCing, i have been looking into this as well. supposedly systool is supposed to add OCing features sometime, but it hasn't happened yet to my knowledge.

A 400Mhz OC with no voltage increase shouldn't add any significant power consumption.

So any info on how to OC? I should be able to use any software program that can be used for an equivalent desktop, I would think.

The T2050 uses a 533FSB. You can check out the Intel Docs and hard-mod it to run 667FSB. However, such a hardmod:

1) No gaurantees it will run at that voltage in that particular laptop
2) Usually un-doable.

I see. That is probably not an option that I would not to look into. Are there any other options to overclock via FSB if it is not an option in the BIOS?

You can try Clockgen and see if the IC is compatible.

Otherwise, not really.
