Other keyfinder software:

SIW
Belarc

These only work if Windows is still working. If Windows isn't functional, there IS apparently a way to grab the key from the disk, but I don't have the reference available.

Is there another way to find the keys except a special program like the ones mentioned before? From the registry maybe?

If it's in reg, it's undoubtedly encrypted, sooooo...

Just use BELARC ADVISOR, as suggested above.

Belarc is an essential, must-have proggie anyway, IMHO! ;)

I think it's here:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\DigitalProductId

I think I've seen some software that can get the key information given the data,
though I don't have a reference at the moment. I'm sure one of the other listed
tools are probably fine, but if you still can't get it done but do have the
registry data extracted, send me an PM and I'll look for the info. for you.

On the other hand you may not need the lost key if you just back up and restore
that key's value (maybe -- just a guess, never tried it myself) and double-check
to see if it'll work straightaway or after reactivation.
