Can I network w/ 1 dynamic IP address?

I'm currently looking into getting AT&T high-speed internet. LINK

I'd like to get on of the "popular plans", but under "IP Adress" it says "1 dynamic". Am I able to split the connection to 4 other computers in the house and am I able to use my current cable modem? (I want to swithc b/c right now I'm paying $60/ mo. - bleh!)

Your router will be assigned that one dynamic IP. All other pc's will hang off of the lan ports on the router and be assigned internal IP addresses by your routers DHCP server.

The setup would go Modem -> Router -> Switch (optional) -> PCs

The router will do Network Address Translation, letting all your computers share the one internet connection. This is very commonplace.

What you listed is DSL you'll need a DSL modem not a cable one to use that service, as has been stated 1 dynamic IP is fine your router would handle the spliting of the connection.

The pages below were written a while ago. Ignore the prices and the Hardware recommendations, stick to the principles.[/i]

The whole thing should look like this.
