Can I move my iTunes library and podcasts to another comptuer?

Currently I am using my desktop to sync my iPod with iTunes. I also use iTunes to manage my podcasts.

I'm gonna be out of town with my laptop for a week and I want to be able to add new podcasts to my iPod. If I copy my music (ripped myself) over to the laptop can I add it to the iTunes library and not mess up what is currently on my iPod? Can i do the same with the iTunes downloaded podcasts?

I just want to be able to use iTunes on my laptop to download new podcasts and add them to my iPod like I would with my desktop without messing up what is currently on the iPod. Is this possibble?
