I need to get a wireless router so my roommates can have some internet. I don't want them killing the line though and I want most my bandwidth. So is there a way to alot them only a certain amount?

Also I was wondering if I would be able to plug just my computer right into the wireless router without having to be wireless. I just want theirs wireless not mine.

(this is with a cable modem)

Thanks

Linksys WRT54G, both the manuf. upgraded firmware has QoS as well as the hacked Sveasoft firmware. QoS is a bandwidth management that allows you to specificy different types of traffic (such as HTTP web traffic) as priority so you'll always be able to browse no matter what else is using the net.
