As the sub-subject says, I have the coa from a win98se os disk. Unfortunately I can't find my disk. If I were to find someone with a disk and burn a copy of their disk, could I sell this burned disk with my coa? Would it even work?

Really, when you buy the software, you are really paying for the license to use the software, not the actual disk. You could sell the COA and give them the disk as the disk is no good without the COA.

But can you even resell windows COAs? Sure, if it comes with a system, but just the license? I dunno. Maybe the next person to reply can answer that one as well.

if it's an OEM license than no, it's tied to the hardware

if it's a retail license than yes, it can get removed, sold, and than installed on a new machine
