can i kill someone else's dog for being on my yard?

I would think legally you could if the dog was thought to be a menace to little children, other pets, rabid, etctera. However it may piss of your neighbors.

Good thing you're not in New York. Short of the dog endangering someone elses life, you'd go to jail longer for killing the dog than if you killed a human. :disgust:

Depends on the person, this isn't always a bad thing 😀

My wifes friend had a dog up until recently... it got loose and they went out looking for it. During that time, a neighbor who has his yard fenced in saw the dog outside the fenced area (supposedly barking, etc) and decided to shoot it. He claimed he was in fear of it attacking his dogs or something. Anyway, there was a slim chance of the dog making it over the fence, but, he did it and apparently there was very little they could do from a 'law' perspective--according to the police. There was some other BS mixed into the story and while they probably could have sued there really is little to gain at that point.

Anyway, if the dog is bothering you call animal control, that's their job, don't make it yours. If you are in fear for you safety they'll come out right away, if not, they'll come out eventually.

Go throw a rat out there and say it was your pet rat! And shoot da mofo when it comes to attack the rat. This will only work if the dog is mean.

What if it is a Senator from NY? Oh, wait, she does get referred to as a female dog often enough there may be some confusion on that point.

I think it's safe to say but killing a politician like that will get you a medal. 😀
