Can I install non HP memory in an HP laptop?

Yes but make sure it's compatible w/ your laptop before purchasing it, I'd suggest checking out Crucial.com's memory selector to see exactly what type of memory you need before buying anything. Many old SDRAM based chipsets don't support high density memory (ie you need 16x8 memory)

Does this mean it supports high density?: http://www.crucial.com/store/MPartspecs...304&WSMD=Pavilion+N5420L&WSPN=CT223452
I would assume the 32x64 part means it does... if it does... lol I'm a bit lost 🙂
