Hi there, It's been awhile since I have posted here, and was wondering if the setup would work ok on the HP Envy 15-ep0098nr laptop. Any help is greatly appreciated. TIA
 
Yes you can. According to the service manual the current drive is an m.2 2280 so the 990 pro should go right in. Note that the existing drive is a gen3 drive and you are replacing it with a gen4 drive. It will work but you will not get gen4 speeds as your CPU is limited to gen3. You might be better off buying a gen3 drive and saving a few bucks. Page 30 of the manual has the information and instructions on how to change it.
