I don't think you can use them in SLI mode, but I think a lot of the chipsets will allow you to use them independently. I think the K8T890 Pro supports it, and I would imagine the NF4 does too, but I'm not sure.

I remember reading in either the Anandtech or the HardOCP SLI articles that the outputs on the secondary card would be disabled when in SLI. Maybe that will change in the future, but who knows.

Not with SLI, but you can have a monitor array with 4 displays.

Review on Tom's Hardware runs two PCIe gx cards independently on SLI MB to drive 3-4 monitors. Look towards end of the review...

SLI means "all cards render to ONE screen". If you're running multiscreen, you're exactly NOT running SLI.
