can i give away trial versions of operating systems?

can you give them away? as in make a copy of a trial OS?

I'm assuming you mean a Microsoft OS?

You could make a copy of the media and give that away, however they will still need to get a trial licence from Microsoft.

I dont know exactly what Microsoft's stance is but you could get away with making copies of the actual "full version" media and give that to someone who has a license of their own to use with it.

He He..Me laughs.. Could you imagine getting a trial version of Longhorn in the mail right along with good ol' AOL cd's in tin cannisters. 😉
