Can I Ghost a 2 partition, 160 GB disk image to a 250 GB hard drive?

Current hard drive is 160 Gb (two partitions, one of which is an eMachines recovery partition of about 5 GB).

Can I create a Norton Ghost 2003 disk image, and then transfer the image to a 250 gB hard drive?

If so, how does Ghost scale up the two current partitions on the disk image?

not sure about your current version, but the old version of ghost coprorate i use to use would just resize the partitions proportionally regardless of the size of the drive. i am assuming 2k3 does the same thing

all I've ever done is slave the larger drive(2partitions max so far) on same ide(pata only so far might try sata from pata soon ..different channels of course) and install ghost 2k3 do advanced.. haven't done from image yet neither 🙂 <edit> the restore partition(info contained) might show up on the clone as bigger than original ..haven't tested restoring from a clone neither yet..scale is usually approx. same ..gl
