Well went to fill gas at a local station. Me in my car, g/f in hers. We're leaving and she's talking to me from her car. So me, not paying attention, is creeping forward and listening to her. I didn't realize there was a gradule curb and I was going up it. Maybe 2 seconds later you hear a BOOOM! And my front end slams down. Then I figure I'm stuck, so I creep it forward, and you hear SRAAAAAAAAAAAAPE. Then a couple seconds later, BOOM from my exhaust hitting the curb.

God I feel so stupid, I should've have known, pay attention to the car, then answer the g/f.

Nah, my fault, I wasn't paying attention.

But it still hurts...

any damage?

We have a really steep incline at the local 24 hour convience store and if I take the corner too sharp I end up scraping the bottom of the car :(

Well my car is dropped 2" front and 3" rear. I "changed' my skid plate and my undercarriage a little, I doubt anything bent/broke. :(

But it just hurts knowing I did a dumb ass stunt like that. :(

reminds me of the post office parking lot exit here. The exit and the road meet at a V so when cars with low bumpers heights (like my intrepid) try to get out, they end up scraping or damaging the bottom of the car. They renovated the lot last year, but still didnt fix the fscking exit(which is the ONLY way out)...bastards

Yeah, I did a dumbass like that at the gas station a long time ago. Chick was yappin away, I was all stoned, not paying attention.....
Creeping forward...SNAP! WTF? I look back and see a gas hose hanging out of my tank, which is no longer attached to the pump.

Boy, I felt dumb.

Naw, I was done filling the car, had paid and was in a hurry. Forgot to take the freakin pump out. Drove off and popped the hose off. They actually have snap coupling's so you can just snap it back on, so it doesnt hurt anything but your ego.

I did something almost as dumb...

When I first got my Suburban, I wasn't used to how long it is (and if you have never driven one, they are looooong)

Anyway, I was at the local Quick Stop gas station and they have those cube displays of 12 packs of sode sitting outside by the pumps. I was backing in to get gas (cause someone else was in the way on the other side), and bump, I knock over a very big stack of them.

Not just a small stack, but a big stack. I was amazed I did no damage to the truck, but the 12 packs were everywhere. This was before I started carrying my digital camera around with me, or I would have gotten pics (after this, I did which is why I had pics of my accident).

Took 20 minutes to help restack them, but I wasn't going to just leave, that wouldn't be cool. :)
