Ok, so i got my T-Bird 1.4 at 1.575, and I'm pretty confident I can push it to 1600. I've got a golden gate heatsink with that damn black label delta....thing makes more noise than my g/f when I'm outta cash.

Can I get away with say....a 60mm thermaltake with my rig, and still be able to keep my system running stable, or is the dropoff so signifigant that it could screw up my system.

note:having my cpu for more than 2 years is NOT a concern...I'll probably upgrade to the new whatever after about 2 years anyway. 🙂
 
You can try. Boot into bios and see what the temps are. Im not sure f the Epox bios throws the halt command at the CPU or not. If it doesnt check your temps there. If you see em shoot up. Shuterdown and rethink it.
