I watched some of season 1, and it was pretty darn good but then I stopped. I stopped a little after they discovered that computer where they had to push a button or something every day.

I know I could Wiki read it, but I want some ATOT Supercliffs.

You have eight months to get caught up. Rent the DVDs and do it yourself. It's worth it.

Orrrrr you could tell me and get free cookies and beer

what's been happening this season? Last I saw Sayid and co. were helping Ben do a bunch of things. For what I don't know.

The island is crazy, people have been lost, then found, then lost in time, and extremely confused. Other groups have caused problems, made up, caused more problems, found other other people, more problems, less problems. Drama everywhere. Island still dislikes anything that resembles consistency in routine.

I fraking love this show. 😀

go to lostpedia.com and dig up on random stuff. Great wiki site.

Hatch blows up
Boat comes to get Ben
Boat blows up and island moves in time
Some got off the island
They came back to rescue the left behind
Some ended up in 1970s with the left behind
Returners blow up hatch site with nuke in past
Fake Locke makes Ben kill Jacob

Some kids are like on a beach then like there are these numbers that like show up and stuff and like everything is dark like it's at night then there is a convenience store then like no wait they're back on the beach drinking but then like guys and you know girls keep staring at each other in a way that is like almost meaningful but not really then like someone has a gun but that was back at the store except that the numbers kept like confusing everyone so like then the guys would stare at each other sort of friends like but maybe sort of gay like except they're guys so they might just need to belch or are just dumb or something like that and then there is all this music that is inappropriate for the scene that you're like thinking something's going happen like superbad but then like stay tuned next week...

Just get Netflix and start renting the DVDs (blu-rays from season 3-on).

It's at least as much about the journey as the destination.

Buffy: she slayed lots o' vampires, and died twice.
Babylon 5: Shadows vs. Vorlons, fight!
SG-1: The went through a ring to visit many Canadian forest locations.

... i.e. you lose all the flavor just reading a paragraph or two about years of episodes.

Orrrrr you could watch it yourself and enjoy it a hundred times more than you would if somebody else told you what was going on. One of the great things about Lost is how you interpret what's going on.

Cheers Leros!

The shows content is an allegory of it's own audience.

People are "Lost" on island, they think they are but not really so yeah... and it sucks and they want to leave, but for some reason they really want to stay forever
People are stuck watching this show "Lost", they think they know whats going on but not really... and it sucks and they want to stop watching or it to end but for some reason they really want to keep watching it forever

It really should just be an ongoing show.

Time traveling island also enables people to time travel
Drama occurs between plane crash survivors, Dharma initiative people (people experimenting on island), and the Others (militaristic, but partly serving "Jacob", some mysterious agent of time travel who brought the main characters to the island). Smoke monster is guardian of the temple, an egyptian style temple. It seems resurrection, regeneration, and time travel are all part of the Island's (apparently some sort of entity itself, or someone represented by it) powers.

The drama between people you can pretty much figure out in episodes. Jack likes Kate, Sawyer likes/liked Kate, Kate doesn't know who she likes (both, I guess), Sawyer is pseudo married to Juliet and they apparently love each other, John is a weird dude who died and was resurrected by the Island and is now the leader of the Others, Jin originally spoke only Korean but now speaks fantastic English, Sayid is a former Iraqi (dude is Indian in real life, which annoys me because I know he's Indian) who can work with anything and gets shot at a lot, and Hurley is one fat dude and not too bright, but he's funny and mostly sincere.

You can pretty much start from when Desmond is introduced if you want to skip ahead and go to where the show picks up steam, but if you want to have better grasp of the characters, it's better to watch the show al lthe way through.

Dude, I've watched every episode of every season and I'm confused as hell.
You really think we can tell you what happened in a few sentences....or paragraphs.....or hardcover books, for that matter?

Actually, I'm thinking of getting the DVD's and watching all the previous seasons again, to see if a second viewing helps me make some more sense of all this before next year.
