Can I format a new SSD ....

As title and summary.

This AT thread ---> Windows 7 Beta/RC and SSDs --- suggests the default format/alignment in Vista/Win7 is most likely fine.

I typically set up a small secondary partition in case I need it down the road. Any problems with alignment I should be aware of ???

Has anyone gotten creative ? Will moving the page file to a secondary partition on the drive boost performance in any way? Waste my time and screw up drive alignment ? Degrade the drive more quickly (even with TRIM) because of constant read/writes ?

Does it make sense to periodically move the page file between the main partition and a secondary partition?

I'll stop now ... Thanks 😀
