can i flash this x800 pro to a x800 xt?

From what I have read the VIVO ones can be flashed to XT's and get the additional 4 pipelines enabled. That doesn't appear to be one.

I'm afraid you're sh*t-outta-luck. I bought a Sapphire Radeon X800 Pro VIVO that had 1.6ns GDDR3 and I managed to soft-mod it to a Radeon X800 XT PE and thenoverclocked some more (557/625). You need an X800 Pro with VIVO to do the soft-mod.🙁

That thing already costs $430. Why not just pay an extra $20-30 and get a real X800XT with a full 16 pipes, all of them under warranty?

Because when the VIVO was available, it was the only thing availble. No XT PEs were to be found. Not that they still are very plentiful 🙂

Some X800 Pros can be hardware modified (with core/mem voltage ups) to 16pipes and higher clocks. You have to mod the gpu core bridges though.

I have a PowerColor Radeon X800 PRO VIVO, can someone post the info or a link to what is needed to mod this into an X800 XT?

With such an expensive card it should be good enough to run great without an OC. And The risk of screwing up such a ex card is too great for me.

I agree with you, I have heard too many stories of people crapping out there cards with BIOS flashes and hardmods.
