Can I fax from my computer?

I have a scanner -
Once i scan in a document is it possible to fax it using my computer?

there is probably ways to do it.. I know my mom used here computer to send faxes. That was dialup so i dont know what happens with other services.

I am using a software that with just one click will scan the document and fax it right away. Just search on google.

You can if you've got a dialup modem. Most dialup modems support faxing.

Yeah, but after searching for 2 days I'm surprised at the lack of service providers for such a thing. I wouldn't mind spending a dollar a fax just to do this. Efax does offer this service but they want $10 a month, and I hate subscribing to things like that since I tend to forget to cancel.

Buy a modem for $5 or less & just use Microsoft's built-in fax functions (it's in all recent MS operating systems).
