Can I delete the file: winundo.dat?

I discovered this file in my C:\ drive. It has 73,189kb, dated 11/99. Can I delete this file, reboot and will windows start a new one.?
 
I believe this is for uninstalling Windows. Unless you plan on downgrading, I think its safe. Make a backup to be sure though.
 
why bother, if you have a nice size hd, 73 megs is nothing. but like he said, all it is for is incase you want to uninstall windows.
