i was wondering if win2k messed up for some reason, and i couldn't run it anymore, can i convert the file system back to fat32 so i can install win ME again?
If you just want to convert the NTFS partition back to FAT32 without caring about what's on that partition, then simply use FDISK from WinME or something and delete the partition and re-create it to be FAT32..Regards
You don't actually have to re-partition unless you want to change the partition sizes. You can just reformat as FAT32.
If you want to keep the data on it, you can't use convert.exe like you can from FAT32 to NTFS, but Partition Magic can convert from NTFS back to FAT32.
ya PM will, but i think you have to have the ServerMagic version of Partition magic to do that .. but ya if u dont care about the data jus format c:, or whatever the drive is from a bootdisk .. well good luck ..

Take youre win2k installation disc, boot into it. Then when it asks for u to choose a partition to use, choose the one uwant to convert. Once there, format it w/ Fat 32, and voila, your done.
