I bought an optical Logitech mouse on the FS/T forum and I really like it, but it's USB, and I would rather keep the USB port open... are there any adapters that I can buy to connect it to a PS/2 port.. and would it be a problem?
yes it is new, i bought it like a month or less ago... and it didn't include an adapter for USB to PS/2... it's a Logitech iFeel Mouse where can i buy one for cheap, if i can use it?
oh ifeel, the ifeel functions won't work through ps2, which is why no adapter is included with that unit(i have it too). Like all the previous logitech mice it might work with an adapter, minus ifeel features.
$34 wtf? u'd probably find one cheap at a computer geek store. Anyhow, the things come free with any non ifeel logitech mouse no garrantee its gonna work though
$35 for a USB to PS2 connector??? what a rip. i've got like 5 of these hanging around my house that i'm not using. gimme a holla if you want it. that's more expensive than the mouse! peace out. They came with my optical wheel mouse. i built several for customers and they didn't want the connector.
ah well.. that makes sense good thing i'm a usb person hehe. as for usb ports.. hubs are cheap I recently got a 4 port from frys for 8.99. Just look around.. not worth going out of your way to avoid usb.
It should work fine, although I'm not sure about the ifeel feature working. My MS Wheelmouse Optical usb mouse came with a usb->ps/2 adapter to use it on a PS/2 port. It works fine in both USB and PS/2 mode.
