Can I change my steam name or move games from one account to the other?

Seems like the answer is no, but i dont know if they ever make special exceptions. I'm asking because I made an account when steam was first available and they made me use my email as an account name, and i dont want my email all over the place when I play online now. I have a couple games on that account but now that i'm building a new PC i'd like to use steam for like...everything, but i still want those games (HL2, CS:S).

You should have posted this in the other Steam thread. It would have fueled the fire.

I don't know of a way to do this. My guess is, once it's tied to whatever account it is, it's non transferable...although you may be able to change the account name that shows so your email isn't showing? I would think that would be possible.

I'm confused; your in-game name is your e-mail address? You can easily change that in the community panel. You can change it to whatever you want, whenever you want.

As Keith said, you can change your in-game name anytime you want as much as you want, you can not change your login name though and you can not transfer games from one account to another.
