Can I burn UT2004?

I don't want to try because I only have 4 CDs left, but will it let me burn copies of them? And will they work just like the originals?

You can back all the CD's up to a DVD IIRC (if you have a DVD burner).
But backing up the CD's *SHOULD* be no issue, since the game doesn't use the CD's anyway, it bases things off your CD key and it has a no CD patch included.

Well, what I want to do is sell the original CDs, but I want to keep the game on my hard drive and have backup CDs in case I have to reformat. Is this legal to do? If I did sell it, could we both use the same CD key?

Piracy.

No, that's not legal to do, and you're an idiot for even thinking it is.
Having a copy of a game which you don't own is piracy, even if you had the game originally.

It's an excellent game that barely even costs anything these days. Either keep the game to play or delete it and sell it for a whole $15-20.

I dunno about that. I tried to make a backup of my UT2k4 DVD version and it wouldnt work. Apparently there are a few hidden sectors on the DVD that cannot be copied. I bet the CD version is similiar.

I just ordered a brand new copy of UT2K4 from newegg for $7.99. Granted, I never had a chance to play the game when it was hot, but it was quite surprising to see it so cheap. If a new copy sells for $8, I doubt you could sell a used copy for twice the price 🙂

That's what I thought would happen.

And Nirvana - Wow. $8. I am speechless.
