I appreciate all of the info and suggestions. I thought that maybe someone else does this and would chime in (I have asked "royaldank" if his reply comes from person experience in a PM).
I think that I understand what you guys are saying and why. Although, in my minds-eye, I keep on thinking back to one of those CD Duplicators (or DVD Duplicators), in which a simple case holds 2 or more drives that just burn from an original. I realize that they are purpose built machines without so much as a mouse/keyboard input and not even a video output, also they don't necessarily have a Windows sized O/S competing for resources. But, I can only imagine my machine being able to do the same (properly equipped at least).
I realize that it might sound stupid for me to think that a 'general' use machine should be able to do what a purpose built one does, but hey, some of the best thinkers never allow reality to rear its ugly head.
All of that being said, how about some specifics. I think that I know for a fact that I need better burning software. Is it stupid of me to think that I can buy
'Nero Ultra' for $12.95? I see the prices for it vary wildy. Who has it? How much did you pay for it? From where should I get it?
Currently I am running a Abit NF7 mobo with a Mobile 2400+ (@2.3Ghz) and 1GB of Corsair. I have 2 HD's on the same channel (Primary) and 2 Opticals (1DVD Burner + 1CD Burner) on the same channel. Do I
really need to swap them around? I had thought that it was always better to keep 'like' devices on the same channel (something about them all 'speaking' the same language). It will certainly mess up my nice clean cable layout if I go and re-arrange things, but I will strongly considering doing all of these things so I can make multiple copies of the same DVD.
I am sorry for being so 'long winded', but I really am interested in hearing more of what I would need to do. The one line answers point me in a direction, but don't give any more info about why/where/how.
