I've had mine up at 0 for a couple movies that were a bit quieter than normal, but I usually stick to -10 or lower for HT and well below that for music (-20 to -40 depending)

It's like dB below a reference point you calibrate to.

i've never calibrated mine...don't have the remote so it makes me pretty crippled so far as that goes

one of these days i'll end up getting a replacement remote...or one of those lcd armchair remotes...those are nifty

i'll find something...right now my next purchases are a remote extender so i can control the htpc from upstairs...also probably gonna set up survellience camera in and around my house...then i need a new reciver for upstairs...then i can worry about a remote
