Can I blend this CF

wondering because i had a 3870 CF and since one of them got busted.. i could get a 4850 and make anotehr CF with half what i have...

It will not work. You would need to either buy a new 3870 to match the current crossfire capabilities or upgrade the crossfire setup with another 4850. You could run the cards separately (for up to 4 monitors) no problem, but the crossfire will not work with mismatched models (i.e. the 38xx and 48xx cards you currently possess) to display on one monitor.

cross fire only works with cards that have the same number of shader units.

i think it would be possible to do a 3850 and a 3870. since the 780g and 3400 can do it...

but yeah, no way with aa 4850 and 3870

oh... good to know... so far a single 3870 isnt that great at all...
