Can I backup or image a Linux setup on laptop?

I am running Win95 and Linux on a Compaq Armada 1700 laptop. I need to backup an application that runs on the Linux system to an external CD. OR can I somehow copy the Linux to the windows partition and backup from there? I have Easy CD Creator and I think a version of Ghost. Do I need a a LInux type backup program? I have the Redhat 7.1 CDs so I would not have to backup the operating system?

Thanks.

Newer versions of Ghost work with ext2, though not with the journaling file systems. But can't you get the CD burner working in Linux and just backup your data from there? There are certainly lots of linux backup possiblities, but it sounds like a small data backup is all you need.
