Can I add a second radiator to my WC setup?

I recently bought a coolermaster aquagate wc kit. It works well, much better than my high end air cooler, but I was wondering if I could add another radiator. Would it increase the cooling performance even more? Thanks

Sigh!!! You don't give 'us' a clue as to where you're coming from, so you here's your answer...

Get yourself a ThermoChill PA 120.3 radiator, and all will be good!

Your turn. Let's hear why this won't work... :roll:

if you have a water cooling kit and are looking for ways to get even better cooling it may be time to upgrade the whole system.

most people buy a kit like that as their first time water cooling, which is fine, it exposes you to how a system works. but maybe your ready for a real water cooled rig now.

DIY= do it yourself

I'm using a cooler master aquagate...a really noob like watercooler. It cools my cpu well enough but I was wondering if adding another radiator would improve the performance even more. Thanks

that changes everything. we thought you have a normal diy system but a aquagate is totally different. adding a 2nd radiator to that will be problematic. you could strap one of these into the loop.
http://www.xoxide.com/thermaltake-12cm-big-radiator.html or any other radiator that uses 1/4" tubing. but that will add more restrictions to your loop. This puts the pump into question of whether its strong enough to push the water. straping extra radiators or what not doesn't allows result in cooler temperatures.

i would just buy a larger overall radiator, and use that instead of 2 smaller radiators
as it was stated before, it'll make it much easier on your pump with 1 big rad instead of 2 smaller ones

ROFLROFLROFL aquagate....

No u cant do anything to that system, the pump is lacking in power, and sorry to say, a sycthe ninja with good fans will probably get close to the cooling of your system.

Trash the entire kit or leave it as it is and upgrade to a better one, something preferable in the range of 200 dollars. Otherwise dont waste your time trying to tweek it here and there, the more tweeking and modifications you do for a system already max'd out, the more problems you'll run into.

Edit: yes having 2 radiators will restrict flow and hence cause more problems. But i have done some testing on my old X2.

i realized that instead of having 120x3 in the front, which also makes it very hard because i only have 2/11 bays my case offers, i got simular and sometimes even better cooling when i split it to 120x2 and 120x1. Bear in mind tho im using 2 D5 liang pumps so i have more then enough flow.

But my current loop is setup like this

Res (about to get rid of it soon tho) -> T-line/Bleed/Drain line -> Pump -> 120x2 -> Cpu -> 120x1 -> 7900GT -> 7900GT -> res

My video cards are kept cooler because of the intermediate cooling.

The Cpu Differences was seen by 1-2C at the most favoring the 3x120, but the videocards had a temp difference of about 5-6C which made me realize this loop is better suited for me.

But as i noted im using 2 D5 pumps so i wouldnt recomend this loop as its very restrictive unless ur running a iwaki class pump or 2 liangs.
