Can HT suppor processor affinity?

I've heard all about being able to set a whole core of an X2 or a PD to a certain task. Is it possible to set a Hyper-threading processor to use affinity? I realize its only logical processors, but what the heck.

No, there's only one cpu so there is no benefit.

Really?

If it's possible to set a process to CPU 0/1 (virtual or not), there could be big benefits for multitasking.

Unless i am very wrong, i'd try it out coolness.

cpu affinity can be set using a p4 w/ HT

i am currently running a P4 2.4c w/ Windows 2000 Pro and under the task manager, it provides the ability to set cpu affinity.
