Can horizontal scrolling on the Magic Mouse be disabled?

If so, please tell me how to do it because even if the whole webpage is shown in Safari, when you scroll vertically it will still move horizontally if your finger even slightly moves to the left or right while vertically scrolling. I hate it!

I do not recall having this problem on Snow Leopard but its possible it was there and for whatever reason it never bugged me until I installed OS X Mavericks.:\

Over 60 views and no replies, I take it the answer no.
Thats all good though because yes I hate it so my Magic Mouse scrolling finger has trained itself to stay in a perfectly straight vertical line while scrolling. LOL!:biggrin:

Download this free software called MagicPrefs. You can not only disable horizontal scrolling but set any gesture you want 🙂 .

Why thank you very much! I already had it installed. I am not sure why I installed MagicPrefs to being with but its been on my iMac a few years now. But I used it just now and it worked perfectly, horizontal scrolling is now disabled.

I just thought id mention that after deactivating horizontal scrolling with MagicPrefs on my Magic Mouse it only took me ~2 days before I began to miss having horizontal scrolling. I thought I hated horizontal scrolling, I guess I was wrong.
