your car acts as an airtight container. the occassional opening and closing of doors is permissible, much like your refrigirator.
Nothing can ever go bad in your car.
Except an already downhill date.

It depends. What kind of car is it? If it was a truck you'd be ok. Gatorade safety in cars is a mixed bag, however. Make, model, and year please :p

I drink gatorade all the time and leave a little bit on the bottle everyday so that there's like 5-10 bottles of 1/4th full gatorade in my car at all times. I think I've dranken them 3-4 weeks later. Usually I'll be driving or I'll finish working out and be really thirsty so I'll finish 3 or 4 of them.

it can go bad though, or at least Powerade can. I had a bottle, opened it up and it went "phssss" I thought that too be a little weird, since the stuff isn't carbonated, I drank it and it tasted like there was a little alcohol in it. So, I called up coke and complained. I got 10 "free 600ml Coca-cola product" coupons. :D

Had it been opened before its week+ trip in the car? If so, I don't know if I'd want to drink it - just think of all the lovely bacteria that's been happily breeding in the warmth for a week. If not, it should be fine.

If you have opened it and drank directly from it, bacteria from your mouth will be breeding in it (fed sugar). It would be stupid to drink it if it had been left unrefridgerated. If it had never been opened, no problemo.

Never opened? No problem. It sits in 18 wheeler trailers for days being shipped across country during the summer from Gatorade to the retailer. If opened and drinken from? Not sure.

Left mine in for over a month and it was fine.

But then again, it was frozen solid because it was winter.

If this were true, the heating of your car in the afternoon sun would cause a rather large explosion.

Gatorade is not that different from a petri dish. If it was opened before this week long experiment, it is bad.

even if you cant see it, bacteria are definatly growing inside of the bottle, i wouldn't drink it it would potentially make you sick. Same goes for people who refill water bottles without washing them.
