Well I went to the grocery night before last and forgot a bag of canned food in the trunk. It was just some beans and some soup. Question is with the temp in the trunk being at least 100 degrees of the day(Kentucky) would it still be safe to eat? I think stuff like this needs to be kept at room temp at least.

Don't wanna throw it out but I don't wanna get sick to save a few bucks.

BTW it's been in there for 2 full days.

I say perfectly fine. It is not like the can traveled from the factory to the grocery store in a room temperature transport.

The heat used in preparation is a heck of a lot higher than that in your trunk.

AKA go for it!

check the cans for dents. dents can have teeny tiny pinholes and the heat will make a difference.

if the cans are undamaged, you will be fine.
