Vaccines are like training for your immune system. You wouldn't consider running a marathon without training.

All who feel this way are fascist fucks and should be beaten to death or forced off my planet.

Now that we've established two opposing, but equally entitled opinions, where are we?

rash irresponsibility isn't a worthy opinion. nothing about what you say here can be considered "equally entitled."

Allow me to interject some logic into this thread. How the hell do you know you get just as sick as if you didn't get the shot if you have never gotten the flu in the 17 some years.

Since you are busy with telling spidey how it is, let me inject some logic for this following guy.

For me it's pretty simple. If I get the shot, I will absolutely be sick for 2 days. If I don't get the shot, I might be sick for 2-3 days. I think I'll take my chances. I don't know why but my immune system goes crazy after some shots, and every flu shot I've had sets it off. I'll admit I only tried it two years, but it happened both times. Within an hour of the shot I had a fever and massive body aches, nausea and itchy sticky eyes. Lasted about 2 days each time. Did the same thing when I was getting hepatitis inoculations. Must be allergic or something.

You are an idiot, you don't know how your body handles the vaccine. Leave it up to the ATOT resident Dr. to tell you how your body will react. Moron.

Because it was 17+ years ago that I linked getting sick/flu with the times I got the flu shot. Since then I won't and haven't taken the vaccine and since then I haven't gotten the flu or the flu like symptoms that I get when I get the vaccine.

There's just no way I'll get it after finding out what it does to me and that I don't need it. It's real easy, if I get the shot, I get sicker than a dog for many days and am bed ridden with high fever, body aches, etc. I don't want to go through that so I don't get the vaccine. The vaccine makes me just as sick as if I had the real flu so there's no logical reason for me to get it given the following options:

1) Get shot, get just as sick as if I had flu guaranteed
2) Not get shot, not get sick, not get flu

I'll go with 2.

I think all the nutjobs who are refusing to get normal vaccines should be required to take a biology course on their own dime. It's honestly starting to get retarded.

well if vaccines actually worked 100% of the time i would go with it.

But the flu vaccine has been linked to palcibo effects a lot more then actually vaccinating you.

Like this:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/9852118...t/many-receive-fake-flu-vaccine/#.ToH_G9Q9W1k

And there was a big one seniors and flu vaccines as well.

But yeah if your getting a free shot, i dont see why u would reject it.
And i figure at a hospital, they will do it correctly, and use the proper vaccine.
