I will be putting an e6300 on an ASUS P5Q Pro. Will the BSEL mod used on the e4xxx series work? or should I skip it?

e6300 is already 1066 fsb, so you can't do the e4300 800->1066 fsb bsel mod. A bsel mod to 1333 may be possible, depending on your motherboard (whether it supports bsel modded cpus or not).

Since your board looks be be decent, I see no reason to do a bsel mod. Bsel mod is for boards that either (1) can't oc OR (2) oc poorly.

(3) have memory multipliers that are bound to BSEL

Quite a few motherboards will not give you 1:1 memory on 800MHz FSB chips. However, as pointed out the E6300 is already at 1066 and I have yet to see that problem on a 1066 chip.
