Can DVDRebuilder rip just the main movie?

I've ripped about 10 DVD's using DVDRebuilder but don't see a way I can remove extras. I saw mention in the help but don't see how it's done. It says to rip the whole DVD to disk first. Says you can try ripping not all of it but there may be errors. Is that the deal? Rip the main movie to disk and hope?

I have DVDFab HD Decrypter 4 installed and it ripped the Full disk but when I try to rip just the main movie it has errors. Don't know what's up with that. I may have to just do the full disk and see how it comes out. I'll write initially to a DVD-RW and see what it looks like. 😕
 
I would try and grab the latest free version they offer, I know I've been using ver 5 and have had mostly good luck, I think I got an error or two when burning 7 or so discs.

Thanks. I thought I had maybe the latest free version they had, but I'll check again... in the morning, gotta turn in now. :moon:
 
Don't know why, but today (after an overnight shutdown), DVD FabDecrypter 4.1.2.0 Free Edition is not choking on the DVD and is ripping just the Main Movie to disk. Doing google searches I am unable to find any newer versions of non-shareware (i.e. freeware) DVD FabDecrypter. In fact, I can't even find any free version past 3.x, but I have fortunately saved v4.1.2.0 in my downloads directory tree.

Somehow, DVDRebuilder failed to make a complete rebuild on the Full rip of the disk. Don't know what's up with that. Only 3.2 GB or so of files is in the ripped folder. 😕 Well, I'll see what happens with the movie only rip. DVDShrink was unable to get past 9% on the disk analysis.
 
I've had to restart in the past too, I think DVDFab locks down the access to DVD drive somehow and at times this doesn't seem to be unlocked even though your project is done. Were the issues you were having all with the same disc?

Yes, it's just this one disk I'm dealing with now. I usually find a way around DVD ripping problems what with DVDShrink, DVD Fabdecrypter and DVDRebuilder, even DVDDecrypter sometimes, although I don't think it's supported anymore, and neither is DVDShrink I don't think. All free stuff, which is cool.

 
I've done it a couple of times now, used DVDFab HD Decrypter 4 to rip just the main movie and DVD Rebuilder on that. So far so good. The DVDReb help seems to say it may not work, but...
