Can Cheaters Love The Person They Are Cheating On?

Why, did she tell you that she still loves you and that it will never happen again?

Seriously, having been on both sides of that coin, it certainly can happen that the person doing the cheating can still love their mate, but still cheats. The reasons are many and varied, but can range from sexual experimentation (esp if married young), questioning the relationship but not being willing to give it up, cheating with the intention to leave the relationship but then thinking better of it ("hey, the grass ISN'T greener..."), etc. As to whether it will happen again - well, my experience tends to indicate that a lack of follow-on cheating CAN occur - but it really has to do with the underlying issues. If you're married, I'd suggest counselling - heck, even if just seriously dating, I might suggest counsellling...

No... I'm just curious of ATOTs opinion on the matter.

Yes, love transcends sex.

And apparently horniness transcends love if you'd cheat.
Sure.
Sex is like food, you don't want to eat the same thing everyday for the rest of your life.

My "Seriously" on the next line should have indicated that the above was at least slightly humorous. I probably should have added a smiley.

Unfortunately people who like to order anything on the menu usually aren't up front enough to offer their SO the same option.

No, if you are truly in love then you have no desire to cheat. Most people can't recognize this since they have never really been in love. Once you are, you totally understand the truth behind that first sentence.

once you are in love with someone, the mere thought of betraying them and hurting them is more than enough to make you never think twice about cheating.

is also very true.

It is complicated. The key is being open and honest about your sexuality, which is hard for most young people(and older, too..) to do.

You can't cheat if you truly love the person. I believe it's impossible. If you claim to have done this, then perhaps you should think long and hard about how much you loved them. If you're willing to hurt them for a little extra fun , then you obviously didn't love them very much. Your ridiculous selfishness is a good indication of how much you love them...
