I'm asking because I'm shopping used laptops and most don't have integrated ethernet or CDRW drives. I'm wondering how I can get info from my desktop to the laptop. If I can burn CDRW disks that the laptop's CD drive can read at least I'd have a good way to get data to the laptop. Thanks for any info.

yeah, unless the drive is very, very old, it should read rw just fine.

Why don't you just get a pcmcia ethernet adapter for the laptop? Much easier than using cd's.

And he can get stuff OFF of the laptop :)
