Visa's and MasterCard's regulations prohibit minimum charge amounts.
how many bars have i been in that i feel obligated to get extra drinks because of the minimum?

strip clubs are also pretty bad about charging extra on cards than ca$h

a lot of computer stores where i live are run by asians and they all have this "cash discount" rule so if you pay by cc you have to pay more.

Our local computer store does this by giving a "3% discount" for cash/debit/check transactions. In other words, if you use a CC you pay 3% more. They still have the best prices around, and are also Korean owned for what that's worth.

You ever notice that generally they have the best prices around... even if you're paying the extra fees with the CC?

"they" being who?
Personally, I wouldn't put any faith in anything bought at the "shady" store that doesn't take credit cards.
If you have a problem with a credit card purchase, you can dispute it with your CC company. If you pay cash, you are screwed. Escpcially since most of the places I have been to don't even give reciepts with cash purchases.

It makes you think, if they are that shaddy, then do you really trust them by buying anything else they sell?

This is normal, here they do it differently, they offer discounts for those using cash or debet.
I should know, I work for a credit card company, though not doing anything related to the cards:p
