Can anyone with ADSL answer me this?

Heres the set up in detail.

Line comes into house, Main socket.

Off main socket, there is a plug that has a socket on it, and a wire going upto extension 1.
In that plugs socket, there is a double splitter, that has a sky box & a answering machine plugged into it.

On extension 1, there is another plug that has a socket on it, and a wire going to extension 2.
On the plugs socket, there is a normal phone.

On extension 3, there is a double splitter that (at the moment) has a normal phone plugged into one socket, and a 56k modem into the other.

I will call ext 1 MainB and SkyBox and Answering machine as MainA

ok, here wire going to Ext 2 i called ext1b and socket for phone as ext1a

and here i think you mean extension 2 (not 3) anyway, i called normal phone ext2a and 56k modem ext2b.

as i said before, ONLY put filters on the a's as i've named them. don't put filters on b's.

oh btw, it's not that big a deal. if you put a filter on one of the b's you just won't get internet connectivity so that should let you know pretty clearly what the issue is.

I'm not to sure about Tiscali to be honest, have a look on http://www.adslguide.org.uk for some other ISP's. I work for a large ISP in the UK and to be honest I reckon you get better support from companies like eclipse and Nildram etc

You need 3 filters and 2 line spliters (which are adsl compatible) and should be up and running. Although will warn you we've had problems with some extension leads working with ADSL so something to look out for

Can either;
Cobain
Or
LeeTJ

tell me theres e-mail address, so i can send them a picture diagram of how i think the setup will work.

Im using Tiscali cos ive used them for my dialup 56k for the past 3 years, and find them great. Plus i can keep my e-mail address.
