Can anyone suggest an external blu-ray RW for a Mac laptop?

i render a lot of videos - a couple of retired TV production engineers on another forum recommended this one for playing / writing blu-ray disks

i was having some problems with BD disks that were too scratched to be read or copied - this one states it has technology to overcome scratched / abused disks. Every time i run into a disk my internal BD writer won't play, i move the disk to this one - so far it hasn't failed me. There's also an internal version available for approx $75
