A shareware application similar to Nlite except with it you remove components AFTER installation of OS.
I cant remember the name of it but it worked really well and i used it often years ago.

I'm in a position where i can't use Nlite. i'm on an OEM laptop and want to remove some of the clutter.

if anyone happens to know the app i'm talking about, would be much appreciated
thanks.

rhetorical questions are not answers to a direct question, not to mention it had absolutely nothing to do with the thread nor does your response. Everyone else read the post and provided an answer, you asked a question, rhetorical or not, good job, now please take a literature class.

Get off your high horse. He was asking why you couldn't use Nlite to accomplish what you set out to do. It wouldn't have been very hard to answer his question but instead you decided to act like a douchebag.

No, I didn't exactly answer the question, but I am familiar with how OEM laptops come with extra undesirable software. The route I take personally to fix this is to reformat. I was simply trying to make this suggestion in my original post. Again, it didn't exactly answer the question, but when I post questions on web forums, I appreciate other people's alternate ideas. Obviously, my alternate ideas were not wanted here. I duly apologize for attempting to help.

I guess this situation should not have come as a surprise then.

I will refrain from posting in this thread again.

You cant read. I said i cannot Nlite an OEM disc.....let me repeat...I cannot Nlite an OEM disc.
do....you...under...stand? both of you should cause i specifically mentioned it in the first post. hence the sarcastic response.

thats why i asked about this software, so i can use it instead. #1 i dont have a retail xp disc. #2, why reformat and lose all my stuff when i can use XPlite to remove components for me and #3, its hard to be on a high horse when all i did was ask a simple question, which got answered and so now you get off on trolling the thread offtopically?

not like i care, i find the responses like yours that are outside the answer rather amusing.

You are retarded. I don't even see how you can have a better than thou attitude with an intellect like yours. You're incapable of having any kind of discussion. You're incapable of answering a single question. You're incapable of talking to anyone in a manner that would give someone even a single reason to have any respect for you. Do you know what the word why means? It was asked why you couldn't use something, not if you could use it. Your first post does not explain the answer to the question, which is why it was asked. It is reasonable to ask why because judging from your signature, you're an idiot that jumps to conclusions.

all crap aside, you didn't need to resort to douchbagged-ness. chance are that you're going to get less of a response to your questions now. i read the second post not as an offhanded joke, but a serious question.
