Can Anyone Remember a Hotter Summer in Recent History?

7:00pm here. 99°F but feels like 104°F. 🙁

We had a power outage a couple of hours ago. No A/C, no fans. Ended up driving around in my car and turning on its A/C. Probably consumed a lot of gas ($3.25/gal here). 🙁

Its been a cool summer here in Michigan. Today it was in the 70s. The hottest I remember was back in '88.

Same here, but it's all over the news that this is the warmest year globally on record.

when it's 95 degrees in san francisco, you know it's hot.

Exactly. It's hot, but not the hottest I remember. I predicted hotter days to come.

When its almost 100 in Seattle, you REALLY know its hot.

I see 103 at some parts of Seattle.

Today was our first day of relative cool in like a week. But that was because it was crappy and rained. It's been consistently 94-95 here in Pittsburgh.

The part that really sucks, is that i'm from FL and used to having AC in my house... Almost no one here by the water has ac.....

74° and loving every minute of it 🙂

It was warmer earlier, but not nearly what others have posted.

it's only 115 in arizona, and that's about average anyways

that's dry heat though.

i'd pick 115 dry heat over 90 with 100% humidity

90 with 100% humidity pretty much never ever happens. That's a dewpoint of 90, and the record is a freakin 95 (Saudi Arabia). But, yes, I agree humid weather sucks. Arizona typically has 10-20% humidity compared to 40-60% in many other regions.
