Can Anyone Remember a Hotter Summer in Recent History?

7:00pm here. 99°F but feels like 104°F.

We had a power outage a couple of hours ago. No A/C, no fans. Ended up driving around in my car and turning on its A/C. Probably consumed a lot of gas ($3.25/gal here).

Its been a cool summer here in Michigan. Today it was in the 70s. The hottest I remember was back in '88.

We have had 7 days 90+F so far for 2006. Its been really up and down this year.

Today was our first day of relative cool in like a week. But that was because it was crappy and rained. It's been consistently 94-95 here in Pittsburgh.

90 with 100% humidity pretty much never ever happens. That's a dewpoint of 90, and the record is a freakin 95 (Saudi Arabia). But, yes, I agree humid weather sucks. Arizona typically has 10-20% humidity compared to 40-60% in many other regions.
