Can anyone recommend some home wireless telephones?

Im looking for some wireless phones for my home; one base station plus three satellites. Can anyone here recommend a good brand for wireless telephones or a specific model?

I also dont know what frequency I should get, Im seeing 5.8 analog, 5.8 digital, DECT and DECT 6.0 digital.

Lastly, can any of these phones sync up to my digital voice mail? I dont need a voice mail system on the base station because through my provider (Comcast) we have some kind of voice mail that is stored remotely and it is accessed through a telephone. Are there wireless phones out there that can sync up with this kind of voice mail system and alert me when I have messages?

It sounds super clear - no issues at all about call quality. I've never had interference problems. It takes regular NiMH AAA rechargeable batteries - which is nice. If your battery is dead for some reason, you can swap it for regular AAA batteries and keep going - and you don't have to pay a fortune for a custom battery pack. It holds charge well too - if you leave it out of the cradle it lasts about a week. You can use a headset with it - all of the handsets have a wired headset jack. It's handy for longer calls.

It has limited support for digital voicemail service. You can program the phone to call your digital voicemail, and there's a stuttering dialtone when you pick up the receiver. I think there's a way to program the yellow LED on the phone to blink when there's digital voicemail but my digital voicemail rings our phone one ring about every 10 minutes when we have a message, so I never have any problems knowing when we have voicemail.

It has talking caller ID - which you can turn off if it annoys you. For us, we love it. You can hear who is calling before you even get across the room to pick it up. You can also see the screen in the dark.

It's at 1.9GHz - which is far away from 2.4GHz WiFi routers. It uses DECT so your neighbor can't hear your calls (and visa-versa).

I don't really have any bad things to say about it - although the digital voicemail integration could be better (it would be nice if it would tell you how many messages you have, for example).

We have a 5.8 GHz digital Panasonic set that works well. It has a built in phonebook that you can sync between handsets and it recognizes when we have a voicemail (changes LCD display). Speakerphone is nice and call quality is excellent.

I'm quite happy with the 5.8 Uniden setup that I have, but if I were buying today, I would get one of the Dect systems that work in the 1.9GHz band. If you do go with a 5.8GHz model, make sure it works in that band both ways. Some of them use 2.4GHz along with 5.8GHz, and can cause havok with your wifi.
