Can anyone recommend me a good public golf course to play?

I'm looking for a good full-length (no executive or par-3) golf course that is relatively inexpensive (read: <$60). San Gabriel valley is best (coastline or south bay is too far to drive).

I've only played in the South Bay and San Diego county.


The South Bay is really not that far and offers many good courses.

The public course in Alhambra is nice and is very affordable.

I've played at the Almansor Golf Course in Alhambra several times and its pretty decent. Its about $30 and there are no membership fees. Just call for a tee time.
