ripping and encoding depends on if you have to shrink a dvd9 into a blank DVD 4.5gig.

burning should tak 15 minutes @ 4x

You'll need a program like DVD Decrypter (check doom9.org) to rip the DVD first.

yup, DVD Decrypter to rip it, then a diff program to burn like nero, but I use pinacals instant copy

and by the way, DVD x copy was crap, buuuut ,

DVD X Copy Platnum is GREAT!!!! I mean its exactly what a DVD "backup" program should be. it has simple mode where you can copy straight from 1 DVD to Another,(without splitting into 2 DVDs if you want) or advanced where you can preview everything on the DVD to see what you want to keep, and what you want to leave out.

this is what DVDxCopy should have been from the begining, but platnum was worth the wait. ;)

you need to rip the dvd with dvd shrink first. then burn those files in dvd video mode. drag all files to video_ts folder.
