Can anyone recommend me a cat5 crimper?

Money is not an issue so please recommend the top of the line crimper if possible.

Amp or Sargent. I've got a couple pair of Sargents, they're holding up pretty well.

Either of the above have changeble die sets, so you can do anything from a two-pin up to 8Pin.

Also, if the dies get damaged or worn out, you can replace them for much less than the cost of another crimper.

I haven't had good luck with the blue-handled set that HD sells. I got inconsistant / failed crimps often enough for me to toss 'em.

I have used Ideal-brand crimpers for a long time without issue. I think they can be had at Home Depot. My current favorite pair is a Ratchet Telemaster #30-596 which can be had for around $55.

Don't buy the compgeeks special generic crimpers ... they work great for about the first 30 or 40 cables, after that they never crimp right,

A couple of weeks ago I just bought a set of Ideal brand crimpers from Home Depot. I haven't used them yet though I'll need to size and crimp some cat 5 in the next week or two ...

I bought a cheap crimper, two sacks of RJ45 connectors, two sacks of snagless boots, and 1000 feet of cat5 cable from www.pc-pitstop.com about 2 years ago. About 60 cables later, the all-metal crimper is still going strong.
