We've had our HTPC running for quite a while now, but we're getting pretty annoyed at having the keyboard and mouse in the living room. We'll most likely be making a switch to Windows Media Center Edition this weekend. I'd really like something to control that, but not necessarily ONLY MCE (i *think* there's MCE-only remotes).

not sure on a price range, so just throw some stuff at me and i'll make a decision.

later,
nate

How about the ATi Remote Wonder? (Assuming you don't go with the MS MCE remote)

Link

It's RF, sexy, and it's sleek, IMHO. :D

Quite often newegg will have those remotes in the refurb section. Save a few bucks.

although a little on the expensive side I would say the best remote for a HTPC would be a PDA (for example and Axim w/ Built-in-Wireless) with Netremote and Girder. With this option you can totally customize it. The other really neat thing is you don't even need to turn on your display device to start listening to music (if you have your music collection on you HTPC).

Do you even check your links? If you had, you would notice that the description is wrong and they all lead to "HDTV WONDER PCI TV TUNER RCE NTSC REMOTE CONTROL EDITION"

Get it now?;)

Haha, that site is pathetic and very inaccurate. We've already posted links to NewEgg, so that site is obviously trash.

Its best site to check prices and find stores, just i linked to wrong item.

Anyone know if the ATI Remote Wonder will work with MCE 2005? I'd like to get the MCE remote, but they only have IR and I need RF for my application :)

Thanks!
