Can anyone recommend a good wallpaper changer

I had a perfectly fine wallpaper changer for a couple years until I lost a drive, and I don't remember it's name (they all sound the same). Now, the ones I found either have spyware, aren't free, or have at leat one generally annoying feature such as "always stretch" or only sequential images (no random).

Not picky... just want to specify a directory (perhaps multiple directories, not required) and have it pick a new image each hour or each boot or whatever. And be freeware.

What do yous guys use?

How about Webshots? My old boss used it but it may be overkill for a simple wallpaper changer. I don't think some of the older versions contained malware, but I'm not sure about the newer versions.

Thanks. I had webshots on one of my preloads and, yes, it is a bit overkill. But thanks again.

Any other suggestions?

Webshots is the only one I can think of. Its free and now contains no malware/spyware. I would do some googling but I don't know what your going to find for free that has no spyware.

I use something called wallpaper cycle, it was free, no spy/ad, and does as you requested. also simple and little overhead.

hey i tried winwall and every mornign whe i boot it keeps asking me for the path to my backgrounds... have you ever seen that problem?

Hmmm, can't say that's happened to me. I've always just loaded a directory for the backgrounds, then saved it as a wallpaper list. I don't know if you have to save it or not for it to work, though. Was it installed under a different user or something maybe?
